Laser-guided experience

Guided by an experienced astronomy guide, this part of the tour uses a laser pointer to highlight major stars, planets, and constellations. The emphasis is on clear, accessible explanations of the science behind what you see— a practical introduction to observational astronomy, designed to make the night sky understandable to everyone.

Telescope Observations

Experience the night sky up close through a high-quality telescope. This session offers a clear, science-focused look at objects in the night sky. Each view is explained in straightforward, accessible terms by your astronomer—what you’re seeing, how far away it is, and why it matters in the context of astronomy. It’s a hands-on way to explore space and deepen your understanding of the universe.

Small group, stellar comfort

Tours will provide seating and blankets so you can enjoy the stars in comfort. With small group sizes of 10 max, you can relax in peace without the hustle and bustle of busier stargazing tours.

Astrophoto

Each session ends with a personal photo of you under the majestic night skies of New Zealand, which will be sent directly to you!
